In our continuous effort to provide more value and flexibility to our users, CodeNOW introduces the CodeNOW API, a powerful new feature designed to streamline your development workflows and enhance application performance. This robust API enables seamless integration with existing systems, offering a wide range of functionalities that are critical for modern software development.

Enhancement of the build detail

CodeNOW takes your build process transparency to the next level with significant enhancements to the build detail view. This feature is designed to provide developers with a 360-degree view of their build outcomes, empowering teams with essential information right at their fingertips.

The enhanced build detail view now includes comprehensive results of each build, offering crucial insights that were previously scattered or hard to access. Key enhancements include:

  • Git Revision Information: Easily identify the exact git revision from which your component was built, enhancing traceability and debuggability.
  • Artifacts Overview: View all artifacts produced during the CI pipeline process, including container images, Helm charts, Maven artifacts, NuGet artifacts, and npm artifacts. This centralized view simplifies the process of tracking and managing build outputs.

Support for external CI tools

With CodeNOW version 7.5, we're excited to unveil a groundbreaking feature that significantly enhances your ability to customize and optimize your development workflow. Recognizing the diverse needs and preferences of our users, we now offer support for integrating external Continuous Integration (CI) tools directly into your CodeNOW environment.

This new capability allows you to replace the default CI tool used for building single components with your preferred external CI tool. Whether you're committed to a specific tool due to its unique features or you're looking to leverage an existing toolchain, our platform now seamlessly accommodates this integration. Supported tools include but are not limited to Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, and GitLab CI, offering a wide range of options to fit your project's needs.

Integrating your preferred CI tool is straightforward. Visit our documentation for a step-by-step guide on connecting external CI tools with your CodeNOW projects, including setup instructions, configuration tips, and best practices for a smooth integration.
